A single father must compete in the Strongest Man Alive competition in order to fight for custody of his only son.

​

John Williams is a single father working as security guard in a rough dive bar to get by, he wants nothing more than to escape the world which he has fallen into and struggles to give his 12 year old son Sam the life he knows he deserves. When Sam's mother who abandoned him as a baby suddenly re-appears demanding custody, John is determined to fight to keep his son, but lawyers are expensive and he has no money. John comes across a flyer for the  STRONGEST MAN ALIVE  competition where the winning prize is $72,000, an amount of money that would not only pay for the lawyer but give him and Sam a new start. John is introduced to an old retired-reluctant-recluse strongman named 'The Iron Cowboy' and must now convince him to train him if he is to have a chance at winning the competition to become the STRONGEST MAN ALIVE.
