HOLLYWOOD ICON ERIC ROBERTS SIGNS ON TO
'HEAVEN' PICTURE WITH BRIDGE & ACORN ENTERTAINMENT
Hollywood legend and icon Eric Roberts has signed on to play wise and loving grandfather Pops, in Bridge & Acorn Entertainment's new motion picture, "Heaven."
In a career spanning over 40 years, Roberts is the only actor in history, to have more than 561 credits to his name, he is an Academy Award nominee and a three-time Golden Globe nominee.
Director Angus Benfield was "a little stunned" to find Roberts' audition tape in the midst of the 4000 that he received when casting for the film. On signing Roberts Benfield said, "I have always wanted to work with Eric Roberts ever since I saw him in "Best of the Best" as a teenager, his audition for Pops left my wife and I speechless, we immediately knew he was perfect for the role."
Based on the book "Heaven; The adventure begins" by author Alan Duprey and adapted to screenplay by Benfield, "Heaven" tells the story of Jonathan Stone, a middle-aged paramedic who struggles to find meaning in the midst of his everyday life, until he wakes up one day in heaven and discovers that his life had more meaning than he could ever have imagined. Set between heaven and earth, "Heaven" follows the life and afterlife of Jonathan Stone and the lives of those around him from his past, present and future.
"Heaven" is due to start filming in Los Angeles in February.
